Movie: Max Payne
This was a good movie. I had not much of an idea of what the movie was going to be about. All I knew was it was based off of a video game. It was good and the visual effects of the Valkyr drug hallucination give it a whole different twist from a regular good cop/bad cop movie.
Max Payne, a cop in the NYPD, returns home one day to find his wife and baby daughter murdered at the hands of drug addicts, high on a designer drug called Valkyr. After 3 years of working on the case, Max and his best friend Alex go undercover to bust a V-deal. However, things go wrong: Alex is suddenly killed, and Max is framed for his murder. Hunted by the cops and driven by determination to avenge his family, Max Payne sets out to uncover the truths behind his family's murder.

Personal Demon by: Kelley Armstrong (8th in series)
This was such a good book!!! Oh my gosh was it good. There is one point in this book where I was just frozen in shock. I could not believe what I was reading. Oh the twists and turns and mysteries of this book.
Tabloid reporter Hope Adams appears to live the life of an ordinary working girl. But in addition to possesing the beauty of a Bollywood princess, Hope has other unique traits. For she is a half demon--a human fathered by a demon. And she's inherited a hunger for chaos. Naturally, when she's chosen by a very dangerous group for a very dangerous mission that will take her through Miami's hot spots, she jumps at the chance. But Hope is a little too good at this job. And soon she's in a little too deep. To save herself, she'll have to unleash her most primal instincts--and open herself, mind and body, to everything she most fears...and desires.

San Jose Sharks vs. L.A. Kings
So I got to go see the San Jose Sharks and the L.A. Kings play on Sunday. It was an ok game. It was a good hockey game, but it was kinda boring. The fans were split in who they were cheering for. So the fans were not very loud or exciting. Spencer, me, Eric (Spencer's brother), and Chris (their roommate) all went to watch the game. The score was Sharks 3, L.A. 1.

Catching Up
Ok, so if you have been watching my blog lately, you will see a bunch of blogs on certain days that weren't there before then. That is because I am now catching up on my blog. Mom got on me today because I have been lazy and haven't blogged lately. So I repented and did this during work. And sorry it has been so long since I have blogged, I have been lazy, but I have also been busy. It seems like all I do is school and work. I seem to be buried in heaps of homework, especially from my accounting class and my calculus class. I enjoy accounting, I don't enjoy calculus.

The Fires of Heaven by: Robert Jordan (5th in series)
Definitely a good book. If you look between this book and the last one, you will notice that it has taken me awhile to finish the book. Not because the book wasn't good, but because I have been busy with school and work.
Rand al'Thor, the Dragon Reborn, continues his effort to unify the diverse people of a discordant world against the Dark. While the Aes Sedai, women who channel the One Power, and the Forsaken, ancient disciples of the Dark One, strive to bend him to their purposes, Rand leads the clans of the Aiel in a war of unification. Rand must try to master his powers as a man who can channel, while eluding the concomitant madness, as two groups of women attempt to come to his aid. His love, Elayne, Daughter-Heir of Andor, and Nynaeve, both Aes Sedai in training, join a circus to evade an angry sisterhood, and Siuan Sanche, former leader of the Aes Sedai now stripped of her powers, and two companions seek other rebels in an attempt to avert the final doom.
Yellowcard!!!
So I got to see Yellowcard in concert last night!!! It was totally awesome! It was unplugged, which basically means that it was all acoustic. It was really cool. There were two bands that played before Yellowcard. I don't remember who played first. It was just one guy, he was from Salt Lake, and he played one song that was just 15-30 seconds from other people's songs all combined into one. The next band was called Jason Reeves, he was ok, I don't know if I liked him or not. And then came Yellowcard. It was really cool seeing him. I have 2 pictures and 2 videos from the concert that I will put on here. I had taken like 8 videos, but only 2 actually came out, which sucks but oh well. The really neat thing about this is that I get to use the concert for extra credit for my creative arts class.
