This morning when I got up, I was hurting. My body had really stiffened up from yesterday's abuse. I have been walking like a gimpy person because my hips have been killing me.
Today for Connections, we got to go to a Convocation (a discussion with important people) to meet Dr. Gawande, who wrote the book that we had to read for class. It was really cool, he was funny he and really knew how to speak to an audience. When he first started speaking, I was a little disappointed because for some reason while I was reading, I had given him an accent, but he has no accent in real life. It was a little weird and disappointing for some reason. Bert made us take notes during the Convocation so we could learn and practice the Cornell Note-Taking strategy that we will be learning about soon. After the discussion, we went back to class to review the Convocation and how we took our notes.
I wanted to get a picture with him, but I wasn't allowed because he had to go through everybody and then rush to catch his plane. But I did get a picture of him.
After class, I went and got my book signed by Dr. Gawande.
